The guests' garden

The guests' garden

Guests have a spacious walled garden, which has the moat and an iron gate leading to the ancient orchard and arboretum. The garden is ideal for playing games or for family and friends to spend time together, with a barbeque, table, chairs and patio heater for those special summer evenings.

Guests can amble beside the ancient moat, stocked with trout, rudd and tench, then into the orchard where the carpet of aconites, snowdrops and primroses compliment the trees such as the Ginkgo biloba and one of the best ‘snake-bark’ acers, Acer davidii.

The nature trail

The nature trail

The nature trail has been mapped out to enable guests to walk through the farm across open fields and around the ancient woodlands. The nature trail is usually open from March to September, and is an ideal way to see the many different aspects of rural life. Walking boots or wellies are a must !
